KACEY WATSON
PERSONAL TRAINER
Kacey was originally a farm girl brought up 500km in land from Perth WA, she now calls Scarborough home in North Perth.
Kacey has always had a passion for helping people and has channelled that passion into personal training. After starting her own health and fitness journey loosing 15kg, re gaining a healthy relationship with food and a healthy mindset resulted in her using the tools and knowledge from her own journey to help others achieve goals and create a healthy lifestyle of their own.
Outside of the gym she likes to spend time having adventures and challenging herself with new skills like snorkelling, paddle boarding, hiking, acro yoga, surfing, ice skating and snowboarding.
Her biggest inspiration are the people she surrounds herself with on a regular basis. A selection of a few close friends that each in their own ways inspire her to challenge herself in new way each and every day from new fitness skills, strength and endurance to consistency, mindset and pushing past internal fears.
She thrives off the adrenalin rush you get from doing something that scares you, not only physically challenging herself but mentally as well. So this year she’s all about breaking down mental barriers and insecurities.
She loves CEACEA SWIMWEAR because they represent so much more than just clothing but empowerment and encouragement to push past your fears and to be daring in everyday life.
'You can’t commit to your dreams and your comfort zones at the same time.'

WE CANT WAIT TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCES WITH YOU.....
First stop....The Pacific Coast of #Panama.
From Panama City it was a 8 hour drive to the West of the country to a very small town called Santa Catalina. We were on the hunt for some lesser known surf spots than the hugely popular region of Bocas Del Toro on the East coast. We had been told of a world class wave which was also next to a world class dive location and we were excited to see if it lived up to the hype!
The main wave in Santa Catalina is called La Punta and it turns out its ranked in the top 60 waves in the world. It is also a right hand reef break, and for us regular footers that was a little gem. The surf guide was correct, the wave was incredible. The paddle out starts at the wall with graffiti on and can be a little tricky at first as you have to know where the rocks are to avoid them, but once you have done it a few times it's fine.
When the big swells came into town, so did the pro surfers and the cameras. The waves can be huge and produced double over head stand up barrels. On those days I was out the water, watching on from one of the incredible viewing platforms on the cliff. There was some incredible surfers out there and the wave can get busy as everyone takes off from a very small take off area. On regular days the waves would be head high - head and a half and it was a great wave to get more confident on bigger waves.
Being a reef break the wave always broke in the same spot so you could sit on the shoulder of the wave and avoid getting them on the head all the time. You can only surf this wave three hours either side of high tide as the water gets too low and the rocks come out, which is why it can get busy at times.
Santa catalina also has a beach break, further down the road with many surf schools on it. Its a fun and safe place to learn with no rock and the potential to get a pretty long wave once you have learnt how to stand up.
With plenty of small islands surrounding Santa Catalina you can pay a fisherman to take you on a boat trip to explore some idilic deserted beaches and if you get lucky you can find a little wave as well. We spent the day amongst the palm trees drinking fresh coconut juice and enjoying the peaceful paradise.
We ended up spending six weeks in Santa Catalina and actually volunteered in a hotel there, so we could spend a lot of time surfing and learning Spanish with the hotel staff. We found this job through #workaway.
If the swell isn’t working then there are still things to do! Only an hours boat ride away is the untouched marine park of Coiba island. It's definitely worth getting out there, although on the little local wooden boats it can sometimes be a bit of a bumpy ride. It's home to some of the best diving in the world and even snorkeling you feel like you are in an aquarium. Our fellow volunteer did his open water diving course in Santa Catalina. After only six dives, he had already seen turtles, reef sharks, manta rays and whale sharks!
A guest in the hotel commented that he had been diving for 15 years and not been lucky enough to see that! You also get treated to seeing dolphins and humpback whales on the boat ride out there. Its a truly magical place.
The population of the town is only a couple of 1000 people and with limited internet it felt like a time warp where the backpacker/traveler infrastructure had yet to hit. I hope it stays that way as it adds to the charm of the town.
There are plenty of accommodation options from backpacker hostels to nicer bungalows. There's one local store in town and a vegetable truck that comes through a couple of times a week. You can also buy fresh fish and lobster on the beach as the fishermen come in. So far there are no ATMs so it's good to come prepared with cash and food before you get here. The next main town is 3 hours away on the bus!
If you are a #digitalnomad, the internet might not be great but the office view is fantastic :)
After a great time getting to know the villagers of #SantaCatalina it was time to move on. We had met lots of other surfers in Santa Catalina that had told us #PlayaVenoa was worth a visit. Therefore we packed up and got ready for our next PALM TREES & COCONUTS location.
Have you been to Santa Catalina? What were you thoughts? Tips?
Let us know below in the comments xxx
Our #CEACEASWIMWEAR outfit picks for this trip were:
The CLASSIC Sports Top & BELISAMA land to sea #yoga and #surf leggings.
Light weight, fast drying and perfectly packable.
]]>Playa Venao is on the Azuero Peninsula’s and is said to be the best surfing in this area. It's a pretty little cove shaped bay with a beach break. Bigger and dumpier waves are to one end of the cove and as you go down the beach they get smaller.
I stuck to the middle of the bay and towards the end of the week we had a great swell, little wind and perfect clean fun waves. With waves breaking in both directions, that are perfect for every skill level, it was the most fun I've had on a beach break!
We also got very lucky with the conditions and the line up wasn’t crowded. There was a nice mix of locals and tourists who were all very friendly out in the line up. We had some beautiful sunset surf session here. At present, this area is relatively undeveloped, but it is beginning to see a boom of projects as the word gets out about its laid-back vibe and awesome surf.
The town itself isn’t big with just a handful of places to eat. There's also yoga on the beach at one of the hostels if you fancy that.Other activities like horse riding, hikes and trips to nearby beaches are also on offer.What CEACEA SWIMWEAR items we wore:
The capsule wardrobe in IRIDESCENT and EMERALD,
Consisting of The ACIONNA bralette and The BELISAMA surf & yoga leggings, wear for surfing or your sunset yoga sessions. On hotter days we wore The ASTERIA crop for some sun protection and The EOS reversible bottoms.
Check out the range on our website and use code CEACEAFEARLESS for $20 off.
After getting 'stung' on excess baggage by our budget airline on the way to Bali one time, we decided that when we created our range we would make it a capsule wardrobe. A wardrobe whereby you would need fewer items but those pieces would be functional across all ranges of activities, land AND sea.
Well ladies, that is exactly what we have created. The CEACEA SWIMWEAR capsule wardrobe. We have designed THE GODDESS range with this in mind. You are able to buy three items and have four different outfits, each one designed for different activities. You get four different looks and endless activities you can do in them. Our capsule combinations include the ASTERIA crop top for your high impact activities, matched with the reversible EOS briefs. Flip the briefs around for look number two or pair with the ACIONNA bralette if you are doing lighter exercise.
If you prefer to have leggings that you can use for yoga/pilates and water sports, choose the BELISAMA leggings combo paired with the ACIONNA bralette. Chuck in the reversible EOS brief to give you that active bikini. This capsule combination gives you four different land to sea options.

I have recently been in Bocas Del Toro and what I found was a real treat.
The beauty of Bocas del Toro is that there are a number of breaks you can choose from. Pretty much all breaks are accessible by boat only. It is pretty fun to jump on a little wooden boat, nip over to the other island, jump in and just go for it! Do remember to agree a time with the Captain to come back and collect you!
December to March is the main surf season, however I was there in August and I got very lucky with waves everyday. Im told this isn't the norm however,
Here's the low down on which waves to hit.
Main breaks of Bocas del Toro;
Careneros The point - Intermediate waves apart from the odd day when a huge swell comes into town. Left hand point break, breaking over coral reef. Good when the wind is light to moderate, cross or offshore. You can see when a set is coming through and can hang on the corner if its looking too big. If it is big just sit a bit wider. A good wave to improve your skills as an intermediate rider. Not crowded on the off season. $3 boat ride to get to,
Careneros Old Mans - Beginner wave, nice and friendly to take your long board and foamie. On bigger days you can use a short board here too. An 'A frame' wave but the left is longer than the right. Can walk up Careneros island and paddle out or get a $2 boat ride.
Paunch - Intermediate to Advance wave. A tricky paddle out over reef but once your out its deep enough. It's on the way to bluffs beach on Isla Colon, you can hire a bike and cycle there (a bit tricky holding your board), drive or get a boat round. An 'A frame' but the left is better than the right. It can be a hollow wave on a bigger swell.
Wizard Beach - Beach break. You can get a boat to Bastimentos Island Old Bank and walk 15 minutes through the island to Wizard beach. A nice beach but average waves. It's probably better during peak wave season.
Other waves in the area that we didn't go to;
SilverBacks, Long beach, Bluff beach
In summary the main pros and cons are;
Pros;
Warm water
Beautiful scenery and tropical islands to look at while you surf
A really friendly crowd
Lots of other chicas shredding out there
Clean water
Fun boat access
Bocas town - lots of accommodation, restaurants and bars
Cons;
Boat access only so you have to pay to surf
Over coral reef so wear booties if you are worried
Bocas town - its not a quiet surf destination, it's fully on the 'beaten track'
Other cool spots to hit when the surf is flat is Red frog beach to spot the....Red frogs. Also Playa Estrella or star fish beach is a a pretty place for a day trip.
Enjoy :)

If you live in Perth and haven't come to one of our CEACEA FEARLESS days yet then stay tuned for details on our future events. If you don't live in Perth then check out our inspirational blogs from our CEACEA FEARLESS chicas who have FEARLESS stories to share on our website.
We welcomed more chicas into our CEACEA FEARLESS community last week with our CEACEA FEARLESS Strength and Nutrition day in collaboration with the boys (Simon & Ryan) at Formidable Strength and Conditioning in Wembley Perth WA.
After welcoming us into their brand new gym (definitely worth checking them out!) we were put through our paces with some strength & conditioning training.
The warm up ensured we were fully awake and the thigh burn had already begun before we were treated to THREE rounds of the strength circuit. From pushing weights, wiggling ropes, hanging from bars and lots of planks our muscles were definitely engaged and firing!
It was great to see our CEACEA FEARLESS chicas giving it their all with plenty of laughs in the mix too. CEACEA SWIMWEAR also loves providing the opportunities for so many ladies to try something new and get out of their comfort zone. Well done on being FEARLESS!!
It got pretty sweaty towards the end and I'm sure there were some sore bodies the next day. After the cool down it was great to get some info from Simon and Ryan on nutrition and tip and tricks for strength training. So many great questions were asked by the group and I'm sure everyone learnt a lot from the day.
So ladies....what do you want to try next? Send us a DM or email with any ideas of sports or activities you have been dying to try. We will do our best to get our CEACEA FEARLESS community there :)
Let's be FEARLESS together

Dancing to the beat of her own drum we chatted to the multi-talented @Sarahwhiting on her love for all things dance related. From ballet to burlesque we found out how she learnt to dance and why she loves it so much.
How long have you been dancing for?
Well, I've been dancing since I could walk, but I've been taking classes now consistently for 18 years.
How did you get into it and what age were you when you started?
I started ballet when I was 7, and amongst doing netball for a while, I started doing lots of other dance styles.
What challenge/goal have you recently set yourself within your sport?
For my dance class that I teach, I really want to see my students growing in their confidence and rocking who they are in the sexy, fun setting of burlesque!
For myself as a dancer personally, I would love to work more on my flexibility and performances!
What was your fear with dancing and how did you overcome it?
I remember feeling anxious when I first went to classes at my current dance school, where I now teach too. It was the fear of the unknown, as well as the pressure of being in a new social setting, people, teacher, and learning a new style. I took comfort knowing that there were other newbies in the class with me and we're all in class to learn and have fun which helped me to relax and be myself.
Whats your most memorable moment with dancing?
There's so many amazing memories that I have been able to experience, countless performances and shows, laughs with friends in class, the thrill of pushing my body in creating something truly beautiful. A couple of my highlights include competing and leading my dance school in the annual National Multicultual Festival Parade.
Which CEACEA item do you like best for dancing?
I love my CEACEA tights, because I wear tights every week and these are just so comfy and bring so much bright gorgeousness to class.
Who’s your inspiration?
Ooh, I have many - for life generally my Mum, always - especially for being hardworking and kind. Dance inspirations include my instructor, owner of Kokoloco Dance Studio and dear friend Becky Fleming, Dita von Teese, Media Noche, Zilia Rose and Sashya Jay and all major girl crushes too.
What does being a woman of impact mean to you?
Being critical of the world around you, using my voice to speak out about things I can change and leaving this place in a better state than when I found it.
Thanks Sarah for a great insight into how beneficial dancing can be for your mind and soul. Such a great way to meet friends and grow in confidence.
Check out Sarah on insta @Sarah_whiting_ for more great pic and info on all things dancings. We also love her insta for her body confidence and positivity she shares via her pics and messages. This girl keeps it real and super fun.
Remember to sign up to our CEACEA FEARLESS Community to be the first to hear about ore CEACEA FEARLESS days where we provide free events for women to try new sports. You will also receive a $20 discount code once subscribed too!
Let's be FEARLESS together
Emma led us all through a hugely relaxing meditation at the end of the yoga class and its safe to say that everybody could have quite easily stayed longer in that blissful state, the movement and relaxation had facilitated for all participants.
Not all of our CEACEA FEARLESS events will be aimed at the adrenalin junkie or be as blissed out as this last one. We hope that the mix of activities we plan to bring to you will provide a challenge and opportunity open to everyone. Please let us know if you have any suggestions. Thanks again to all who came and we are always so proud of our CEACEA FEARLESS community getting out of their comfort zone.
A perk of this CEACEA FEARLESS day was that funds were also raised for charity, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank those participants that generously donated to the charity after the class.
Our next FEARLESS event is not far away and will be on Saturday 6th April so stay tuned for further details :)
